Yeomen of the Guard

The Light Opera Theatre of Sacramento is excited to present Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Yeomen of the Guard with full orchestra at the 24th Street Theatre. Set in the Tower of London during the time of King Henry VIII, Yeomen is a comic opera full of gorgeous music, humorous romance, strange adventure and unrequited love.

The roles of Colonel Fairfax, Elsie Maynard and Phoebe Meryll are double-cast. The performers who will play those roles at each performance are:

** August 16th, 17th evening, 24th matinee and 25th: Robert Vann, Carley Neill and Rikki Pratt

** August 17th matinee, 18th, 23rd, and 24th evening: Anthony Tavianini, Jadi Galloway and Paige Kelly

** August 22nd: Robert Vann, Jadi Galloway and Rikki Pratt.

OUR VENUE

Light Opera Theatre performs at the 24th Street Theatre located at 2791 24th St, Sacramento, CA 95818 in the Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community. The 1929 architecture includes wood beams and chandeliers, which provide an intimate atmosphere to enjoy our performances.

Park on the side of the street of the Sierra II Center or in the two parking lots

Those with wheelchairs should use the main entrance of the Sierra II Center, which is located to the right of the theatre lobby steps.
